Cookie Policy
Last updated: November 7, 2026
This policy explains what cookies are, which ones Alojando App - Property Management System uses and how you can manage them from your browser.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, phone or tablet) when you visit it. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as your active session or your preferences — across future visits.
Together with cookies we use similar technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage for analogous purposes.
2. Types of cookies we use
a) Strictly necessary cookies
Essential for the service to function. They do not require consent because without them we could not keep you signed in or process bookings.
- next-auth.session-token — Identifies your signed-in session. Duration: 30 days or until you sign out.
- next-auth.csrf-token — Prevents CSRF attacks on authentication forms. Duration: session.
- next-auth.callback-url — Remembers where to redirect you after sign-in. Duration: session.
b) Functional cookies
Improve the experience by remembering your preferences.
- theme — Your theme preference (light or dark). Duration: 1 year.
- locale — Your preferred language. Duration: 1 year.
c) Analytics cookies
Help us understand how the platform is used so we can improve it.
- Vercel Analytics — Anonymous performance metrics (Web Vitals). Does not use persistent cookies and does not identify individual users.
- Our own browsing log — We store which pages are viewed, for how long, which site you came from and your approximate country and city, without storing your IP address. It uses a random identifier in localStorage (alj_rastro). On the public website it is anonymous until you create an account; from then on those visits are linked to it. We also log which main buttons are clicked, time spent on the pricing section and which signup form fields are filled in, never what you type. If you have an account, we also log the screens you use in your dashboard, when you are online, the actions you take (for example, creating a booking) and the errors that appear, without storing their content. We keep it for 180 days and only the Alojando team can see it. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we do not use it on the public website.
- Google Analytics — Visit statistics for public pages. It is not used inside the dashboard. That data is governed by Google's privacy policy.
d) Third-party cookies
When you sign up for a plan, MercadoPago may install its own cookies during the payment flow. The management of those cookies is governed by MercadoPago's privacy policy.
3. What we do NOT use
Alojando App - Property Management System does not install marketing cookies or social media tracking pixels (Meta/Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, etc.). We do not sell your data to advertisers or build advertising profiles.
4. How to manage cookies
You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Note that if you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in or use the platform.

- Firefox: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and site data.
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage website data.

5. Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use. If the changes are significant, we will communicate them by email or with a visible notice on the platform.
